Under the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), any chemical is considered hazardous if it is classified as a physical hazard, a health hazard, a simple or moderate irritant to the eyes or skin, or an inhalation danger. It is also considered hazardous if it is flammable, or if it is a hazard not otherwise classified.

Be sure to  read the “Precautionary Statements” on the label of the product. An ordinary glass cleaner includes: “Prolonged or repeated contact can result in defatting and drying of the skin. Intentional missuses by concentrating and inhaling the product can be harmful or fatal.”
