A written hazard communication program is required in your workplace, so you need to know how to meet the standards required by OSHA. These standards require that your workplace maintains a list of all hazardous chemicals stored there. This is called a Hazardous Chemical Inventory List.

Safety Data Sheet (SDSs) for each hazardous chemical must be readily accessible to all employees. Containers should be labeled properly with warnings about the chemicals they contain. Additionally, workers must be informed and trained on existing chemicals and anytime a new hazardous chemical is introduced.
